Description
Soft, fluffy Sweetened Condensed Milk Bread with a subtle sweet flavor, perfect for breakfast, tea, or snack time.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp instant yeast
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup warm milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 large egg
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, egg, and the yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
3. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
5. Punch down the dough gently to release air. Shape into a loaf or rolls and place it in a greased loaf pan or baking tray.
6. Cover again and let it rise for 30–45 minutes until slightly puffy. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown. Brush the top with melted butter. Let it cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
– Use warm milk, not hot, to protect yeast.
– Knead until elastic for a fluffy texture.
– Dough can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight.
