Description
Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread is a tender Southern-style loaf made with yellow cake mix, buttermilk, brown sugar, and pecans. Easy to make, ultra-moist, and topped with caramelized nutty crunch.
Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix
3 large eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease loaf pan.
2. Mix cake mix, eggs, oil, and buttermilk.
3. Stir in brown sugar.
4. Fold in pecans.
5. Pour batter into pan.
6. Bake 45–50 minutes.
7. Cool before slicing.
Notes
Reserve some pecans for topping.
Do not overmix batter.
Tent with foil if browning too quickly.
