Ingredients
2½ cups all-purpose flour
2½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup unsalted butter softened
1¾ cups sugar
4 eggs
1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup whole milk
½ cup butter for frosting
3 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Whisk flour baking powder and salt
3. Cream butter and sugar
4. Add eggs one at a time and vanilla
5. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk
6. Pour batter into baking pan
7. Bake 30 to 35 minutes
8. Cool completely
9. Prepare frosting and spread over cake
