Description

Classic Southern Pecan Praline Bread Pudding topped with buttery maple pecan sauce.


Ingredients

Scale

4 cups day-old bread cubed

2 cups milk

1 cup heavy cream

3/4 cup sugar

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

For topping:

1 cup pecans

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 tablespoons heavy cream


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Place bread cubes in baking dish.

3. Whisk milk, cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.

4. Pour over bread and soak 15 minutes.

5. Bake 40–45 minutes.

6. Prepare praline topping and pour over warm pudding.

Notes

Use stale bread.

Serve warm.

Store refrigerated.
