Description

Southern 3-Ingredient Pecan Pralines are baked pecan halves coated in a brown sugar and heavy cream glaze, ready in just 25 minutes with no candy thermometer needed.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups (8 ounces) pecan halves

½ cup (3.75 ounces) light brown sugar

¼ cup (2 ounces) heavy cream

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with non-stick aluminum foil.

2. In a medium bowl, mix the brown sugar and heavy cream together.

3. Add the pecans and stir with a wooden spoon until well coated in the sugar and cream mixture.

4. Dump the coated pecans onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading them into a single layer.

5. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the coating is dry and slightly crystallized, stirring once partway through.

6. Let cool completely on the baking sheet before serving or storing.

Notes

Use non-stick foil, or lightly grease regular foil, so the pralines release cleanly.

Spread the coated pecans in a single layer rather than piling them up so they bake evenly.

Let the pralines cool completely before touching them; the coating is very hot right out of the oven.
