These Rustic Maple Oatmeal Cookies are chewy, sweet, and full of cozy flavor thanks to pure maple syrup and hearty oats.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
2. Beat in maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla.
3. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to wet ingredients.
4. Fold in oats, nuts, and raisins or chocolate chips.
5. Scoop onto baking sheets and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
6. Cool on wire racks and enjoy.
Notes
Use real maple syrup for the best flavor.
Chill dough before baking for thicker cookies.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
