Description
Moist orange loaf cake made with olive oil, fresh zest, citrus drizzle, and sweet glaze. Easy and refreshing.
Ingredients
Cake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 large eggs
Zest of 1 orange (about 2 tbsp)
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp orange juice
1 1/2 tsp orange extract
1 cup buttermilk
Orange Drizzle:
2 tbsp orange juice
2 tbsp granulated sugar
Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare loaf pan.
2. Mix dry ingredients.
3. Whisk eggs, sugar, and orange zest.
4. Add oil, juice, extract, and buttermilk.
5. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
6. Bake 45–55 minutes.
7. Spoon orange drizzle over warm cake.
8. Cool completely and glaze.
Notes
Use fresh orange zest for best flavor.
Let glaze set before slicing.
Cake improves after resting.
