1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup butter melted

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional for Serving:

Vanilla bean ice cream

Extra cinnamon

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.

3. In a large bowl toss mixed fruit with granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and cinnamon until evenly coated.

4. Spread fruit mixture evenly into prepared baking dish.

5. In another bowl whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.

6. Stir melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract into dry ingredients until soft batter forms.

7. Drop spoonfuls of topping evenly over fruit filling.

8. Bake for 38–45 minutes until topping is golden brown and fruit filling is bubbling around the edges.

9. Allow cobbler to cool slightly before serving.

10. Serve warm with vanilla bean ice cream and extra cinnamon if desired.

Notes

Use ripe seasonal fruit for the best flavor and texture.

Peaches, berries, cherries, apples, or mixed fruit all work beautifully.

Do not overmix the topping batter.

Serve warm for the ultimate old-fashioned comfort dessert.
