These no-bake millionaire’s shortbread bars feature a buttery cookie base, rich caramel layer, and smooth chocolate topping with zero oven time.
Ingredients
Shortbread base:
10.5 oz shortbread cookies
7 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Caramel layer:
6 tbsp light brown sugar
6 tbsp unsalted butter
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 tsp salt
Chocolate layer:
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
1. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment.
2. Mix crushed shortbread with melted butter and press into pan.
3. Chill base for 10 minutes.
4. Cook butter, brown sugar, condensed milk, and salt until thick.
5. Spread caramel over base and chill.
6. Melt chocolate with butter.
7. Spread chocolate over caramel.
8. Chill until set, then slice.
Notes
Stir caramel constantly to prevent burning.
Chill between layers for clean cuts.
Sprinkle flaky salt for contrast if desired.
