This gooey Neiman Marcus Cake combines a buttery cake-mix base with a rich cream cheese topping and crunchy nuts. A crowd-pleasing dessert bar that’s as easy as it is irresistible!
Ingredients
1 box cake mix (any flavor)
1 stick butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 (16 oz) box powdered sugar
1 large egg
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
2. Combine cake mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs. Press into prepared pan.
3. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and 1 egg, mixing until creamy.
4. Spread cream cheese mixture over base. Sprinkle with nuts.
5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden. Cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
For neat slices, let the cake cool fully before cutting.
Swap nuts for chocolate chips if desired.
This cake freezes beautifully for up to 2 months.
