Soft and fluffy lemon sour cream cookies topped with a tangy lemon glaze.
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
16 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 cups powdered sugar
3–4 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Whisk together flour baking powder baking soda and salt.
3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Mix in lemon zest and eggs one at a time.
5. Add sour cream and mix until smooth.
6. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix gently.
7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets.
8. Bake 10-12 minutes until set.
9. Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice for glaze.
10. Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies.
Notes
Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor.
Do not overbake to keep cookies soft.
Allow cookies to cool before glazing.
