Description
Creamy hot chocolate tiramisu layered with mascarpone filling, chocolate-soaked ladyfingers, and silky chocolate ganache.
Ingredients
1 package ladyfingers
2 cups prepared hot chocolate cooled slightly
8 oz mascarpone cheese
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup dark chocolate chopped
1/2 cup heavy cream for ganache
1 tbsp butter
Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
1. Prepare hot chocolate and allow it to cool slightly.
2. In a large bowl, beat mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until fluffy and smooth.
3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the hot chocolate without soaking too long.
4. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a baking dish.
5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
6. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining mascarpone cream.
7. Heat 1/2 cup heavy cream until hot but not boiling.
8. Pour warm cream over chopped dark chocolate and butter.
9. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth glossy ganache forms.
10. Spread ganache evenly over tiramisu.
11. Dust generously with cocoa powder.
12. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
Do not over-soak the ladyfingers or the tiramisu may become too soft.
Chilling overnight gives the best texture and flavor.
Use high-quality dark chocolate for richer ganache.
Serve cold straight from the refrigerator.
