Description
A moist apple Bundt cake made with honey, warm spices, fresh apples, and finished with a sweet honey glaze. Perfect for fall baking and holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup honey
½ cup sour cream
2 cups peeled and diced apples
½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Honey Glaze:
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a Bundt pan.
2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
3. Cream the butter with both sugars until fluffy.
4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla, honey, and sour cream.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients until just combined.
6. Fold in the diced apples and nuts if using.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and bake for 50–60 minutes.
8. Cool for 15 minutes before removing from the pan.
9. Whisk together the honey glaze ingredients and drizzle over the cooled cake.
Notes
Use firm baking apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.
Grease the Bundt pan thoroughly for easy release.
Store covered at room temperature for up to 3 days.
