Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup hot coffee
1 cup butter
3/4 cup cocoa powder
3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
1. Prepare cake pans and preheat oven.
2. Whisk dry ingredients together.
3. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, vanilla, and coffee.
4. Bake until moist crumbs remain.
5. Prepare chocolate frosting.
6. Cool cake completely.
7. Frost generously and serve.
Notes
Use hot coffee for deeper chocolate flavor.
Do not overbake.
