Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1½ cups brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup toffee bits
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 pan.
2. Whisk melted butter with brown sugar until smooth.
3. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
4. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Fold in chocolate chips and toffee bits.
6. Spread batter evenly and bake for 25–30 minutes.
7. Cool before cutting.
Notes
For extra depth, use browned butter. Add a pinch of sea salt before baking for a sweet-salty finish.
