Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1½ cups granulated sugar
½ cup light brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup milk or cream
½ cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
4. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt separately.
5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to batter.
6. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
7. Spread batter into pan and smooth top.
8. Bake 35–40 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly gooey.
9. Cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
Do not overbake for gooey texture.
Toasted pecans add deeper flavor.
