These Gooey Butter Cake Bars are rich, buttery, and irresistibly soft with a cake mix base and creamy cream cheese topping.
Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 large eggs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13-inch pan
2. Mix cake mix, melted butter, and egg and press into pan
3. Beat cream cheese until smooth
4. Add eggs, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla
5. Pour mixture over cake base
6. Bake 40–45 minutes until edges are set and center is gooey
7. Cool completely before slicing

Cool completely before cutting
