Description
This German Chocolate Dump Cake is a gooey, decadent dessert layered with coconut, pecans, cream cheese, and chocolate cake mix. Easy to make and perfect for parties or family gatherings.
Ingredients
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1 ½ cups chopped toasted pecans, divided
1 package devil’s food cake mix (regular size)
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
3 cups powdered sugar
2 cups milk chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
2. Sprinkle coconut and 1 cup pecans in the bottom of the dish.
3. Prepare cake mix according to package directions and pour over coconut mixture.
4. Beat cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth. Dollop over cake batter.
5. Top with chocolate chips and remaining pecans.
6. Bake 40–45 minutes until set but still gooey in the center.
7. Cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
Best served warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
