Description
These seriously fudgy homemade brownie scones are rich, chocolatey, and better than any boxed mix.
Ingredients
1¾ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¾ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
2 large eggs
½ cup milk or cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
3. Cut cold butter into dry ingredients.
4. Stir in eggs, milk, and vanilla.
5. Fold in chocolate chips.
6. Shape dough and cut into wedges.
7. Bake 15–18 minutes until set.
8. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Do not overmix dough.
Bake until just set for fudgy centers.
Best enjoyed warm.
