Description
This Flourless Chocolate Avocado Cake is rich, moist, and fudgy with a creamy texture from avocado. A wholesome gluten-free dessert for chocolate lovers.
Ingredients
2 medium ripe avocados, mashed (about 1 cup)
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Optional: 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch cake pan.
2. Mash avocados until smooth.
3. Whisk in eggs, vanilla, and honey/maple syrup.
4. Stir in cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
5. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
6. Bake 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
7. Cool before slicing.
Notes
Use very ripe avocados for best flavor.
Chill before slicing for a cleaner cut.
Store in the fridge for 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
