These Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies are rich, fudgy, and swirled with a luscious cheesecake layer—perfect for holidays, potlucks, or an everyday chocolate fix.
Ingredients
1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
8 oz (225g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
1½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
½ cup (100g) brown sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
¼ cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp salt
8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
⅓ cup (65g) granulated sugar
1 large egg
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper.
2. Melt butter and chocolate together until smooth, then cool slightly.
3. Whisk in sugars, then eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla. Fold in flour, cocoa, and salt.
4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
5. Spread brownie batter in pan, reserving ½ cup. Dollop cream cheese mixture on top, then swirl with remaining brownie batter.
6. Bake 35–40 minutes until set. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Room temperature ingredients make for the smoothest batter.
Don’t over-swirl for best visual effect.
Chill before slicing for cleaner cuts.
