Description

These Classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookies are chewy, soft, and bursting with cinnamon sweetness—perfect for snack time, lunch boxes, or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

½ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon salt

3 cups old-fashioned oats

1 cup raisins

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.

3. Add eggs and vanilla, beat until smooth.

4. Whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together.

5. Gradually add dry mixture into wet mixture.

6. Stir in oats and raisins.

7. Scoop dough onto baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.

8. Bake 10–12 minutes until golden at edges but soft in the center.

9. Cool on baking sheet before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

For plump raisins, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes before adding to the dough. Chill the dough for thicker cookies.
