Ingredients
200g dark chocolate, chopped
175g unsalted butter, cubed
250g caster sugar
3 large free-range eggs
100g plain flour
30g cocoa powder, sifted
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch fine sea salt
100g dark chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line an 8-inch square tin with parchment paper.
2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Let cool slightly.
3. Whisk eggs and sugar until pale and thick.
4. Fold in melted chocolate mixture, then add vanilla.
5. Sift in flour, cocoa, and salt. Fold until just combined.
6. Stir in chocolate chips.
7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until set but slightly gooey inside.
8. Cool in the tin, then cut into squares.
Notes
Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
Don’t overbake—brownies should be fudgy inside.
Chill before slicing for clean squares.
