Description
These buttery, crispy Crack Sticks are rolled bread filled with sweet cream cheese and coated in cinnamon sugar. A dangerously addictive 5-ingredient dessert that comes together in 25 minutes and disappears even faster!
Ingredients
1 loaf white bread (crusts removed)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Trim the crusts off each bread slice and flatten gently using a rolling pin.
3. In a small bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
4. Spread about one tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each slice of bread.
5. Roll up each slice tightly to form a neat log.
6. In a separate shallow bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
7. Brush each roll generously with melted butter, then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat completely.
8. Place coated rolls seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
9. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
10. Serve warm and sprinkle a little extra cinnamon-sugar on top if desired.
Notes
• For an even crunchier exterior, double-coat your rolls with butter and cinnamon sugar before baking.
• These Crack Sticks are best served warm — the cream cheese center stays gooey and irresistible!
• To make ahead, assemble and refrigerate overnight. Bake fresh the next morning.
• You can also air-fry them at 350°F for 6–7 minutes for a quicker version.
• Try dipping them in caramel sauce, chocolate ganache, or a drizzle of maple syrup.
