These Chocolate Peanut Butter Crumb Bars are chewy, rich, and packed with the irresistible duo of chocolate and peanut butter. A buttery oat base, creamy chocolate-peanut filling, and crumbly golden topping make them the perfect bake-sale or weeknight dessert treat!
Ingredients
For the crumb base and topping:
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
For the filling:
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
3. Pour in melted butter and mix until a crumbly texture forms.
4. Press half of the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
5. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt peanut butter, chocolate chips, condensed milk, and vanilla together until smooth and creamy.
6. Pour the filling evenly over the crumb crust.
7. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture evenly on top, gently pressing it down.
8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden brown.
9. Remove from oven and let cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
These bars store beautifully! Keep them at room temperature for 3–4 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
To freeze, wrap individual bars in parchment and store in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
For a salty-sweet twist, sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before baking.
