Description
Rich chocolate peanut butter cookies with fudgy centers and crackly sugar coating. A classic, bakery-style favorite.
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (do not pack)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, divided
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/4 cups light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets.
2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
3. Cream butter, peanut butter, and sugars.
4. Add eggs and vanilla.
5. Mix in dry ingredients.
6. Roll dough balls in sugar.
7. Bake 10–12 minutes.
8. Cool before serving.
Notes
Do not pack cocoa powder.
Creamy peanut butter works best.
Slightly underbake for soft centers.
