Description
Rich and fudgy healthy chocolate oat cake made with wholesome oats, cocoa powder, bananas, and walnuts without flour or refined sugar. Moist, chocolatey, and naturally sweetened for the perfect healthy dessert or snack.
Ingredients
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 ripe bananas
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch baking pan.
2. Blend rolled oats in a blender until they resemble oat flour.
3. Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
4. Whisk in eggs, milk, honey, and vanilla extract.
5. Add blended oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
6. Mix until fully combined.
7. Fold in chopped walnuts and chocolate chips if using.
8. Pour batter into prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until center is just set.
10. Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Do not overbake for the fudgiest texture.
Use very ripe bananas for natural sweetness.
Cake becomes richer and fudgier as it cools.
Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
