Description

Chocolate Drizzled Banana Bites are an easy no-bake snack made with sweet banana slices, smooth melted chocolate, and optional crunchy toppings. They come together in minutes and are delicious chilled or slightly frozen.

Ingredients

Scale

2 large ripe but firm bananas
1/2 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil
2 tablespoons chopped peanuts or almonds, optional
1 tablespoon shredded coconut, optional
Small pinch flaky sea salt, optional

Instructions

Peel the bananas and slice them into rounds about 1/2 inch thick.

Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined plate, tray, or small baking sheet.

Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15–20 second intervals, stirring well between each interval, until smooth and completely melted.

Use a spoon, fork, or small piping bag to drizzle the melted chocolate over the banana slices.

While the chocolate is still melted, sprinkle the banana bites with chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or a small pinch of flaky sea salt.

Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes, or until the chocolate has firmed up.

For a colder, firmer treat, freeze the banana bites for 30–45 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use ripe but firm bananas so the slices are easy to handle.
Do not overheat the chocolate; melt it slowly in short intervals and stir frequently.
Coconut oil is optional but helps create a smoother chocolate drizzle.
Line the tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Add toppings while the chocolate is still melted so they adhere properly.
Try chopped peanuts, almonds, walnuts, pecans, shredded coconut, crushed cookies, or flaky sea salt.
For a peanut butter variation, drizzle 1–2 tablespoons of warmed creamy peanut butter over the bananas along with the chocolate.
Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
For longer storage, freeze in a single layer and transfer to a freezer-safe container for up to 1 month.
Nutrition values are approximate and do not include optional toppings.
