Ingredients
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg + 1 yolk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
16 oz cream cheese
½ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325°F and line a 9×9 pan with parchment.
2. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. Whisk melted butter and sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips.
5. Beat cream cheese with sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
6. Press half dough into pan, pour cheesecake filling, and top with remaining dough.
7. Bake 35–40 min until golden, cool, then chill for 3 hours before slicing.
Notes
Chill before slicing for clean bars.
Store refrigerated up to 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
