These wholesome Apple Oat Muffins are moist, naturally sweet, and packed with fiber and protein—perfect for breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
120 g rolled oats
100 g unsweetened applesauce
50 g Greek yogurt
1 egg
60 g brown sugar
60 g flour (whole wheat or all-purpose)
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Optional: chopped apples, walnuts, raisins
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
2. Mix oats, applesauce, and Greek yogurt. Let sit 5 minutes.
3. Add egg and sugar, whisk until smooth.
4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
5. Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
6. Add optional mix-ins like apples, nuts, or raisins.
7. Bake 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
8. Cool and enjoy warm or store for later.
Notes
For extra flavor, add grated apple or swap cinnamon for pumpkin pie spice. These freeze beautifully for up to 2 months.
