Description
Soft buttery apple fritter bread layered with cinnamon apples and topped with a sweet glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.
Ingredients
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup butter softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2 large apples peeled and chopped
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1–2 tablespoons milk for glaze
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5 loaf pan
2. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon and toss with chopped apples
3. Cream butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
4. Add eggs one at a time then mix in vanilla extract
5. Combine flour and baking powder then gradually mix into batter alternating with milk
6. Pour half the batter into pan then add half the apple mixture
7. Repeat layers and swirl with a knife
8. Bake 50–60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean
9. Mix powdered sugar and milk then drizzle glaze over warm bread
Notes
Use Granny Smith apples for best flavor
Do not overmix the batter to keep bread tender
Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing
