Description
Easy 3-Ingredient Apple Dump Cake made with apple pie filling, yellow cake mix, and butter. A warm, buttery, and delicious dessert that requires minimal preparation.
Ingredients
2 cans (20 oz each) apple pie filling
1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, thinly sliced
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apple filling without mixing.
4. Cut the butter into thin slices and arrange them evenly over the entire surface of the cake mix.
5. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling around the edges.
6. Allow the dump cake to cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or your favorite topping if desired.
Notes
Do not mix the cake mix with the apple filling.
Slice the butter thinly and distribute it evenly over the cake mix.
Add cinnamon for extra flavor if desired.
Spice cake mix can be used instead of yellow cake mix.
Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
