Description

These Warm Baked Apple Fritters are a cozy, lightly spiced dessert filled with juicy apple chunks and drizzled with a sweet glaze—baked instead of fried for a lighter treat.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 cup milk

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 1/2 cups diced apples (about 2 medium apples)

1 cup powdered sugar

23 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

3. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.

4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently.

5. Fold in diced apples.

6. Scoop spoonfuls of batter onto baking sheet.

7. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.

8. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze.

9. Cool slightly and drizzle with glaze.
