Soft and fluffy vanilla cupcakes with creamy frosting that are perfect for parties and celebrations.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2–3 tablespoons milk
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line muffin tin.
2. Whisk dry ingredients together.
3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
4. Add eggs and vanilla.
5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk.
6. Fill liners and bake 18–20 minutes.
7. Cool completely before frosting.
Notes
Use room-temperature ingredients.
Do not overmix batter.
