Description
Soft vanilla donut cake baked in a square pan and finished with a smooth vanilla glaze.
Ingredients
Vanilla Donut Cake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
Vanilla Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare an 8×8 pan.
2. Whisk dry ingredients.
3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
4. Mix until smooth.
5. Bake 30–35 minutes.
6. Whisk glaze ingredients.
7. Pour glaze over warm cake.
8. Cool and slice.
Notes
Glaze cake while warm for best texture.
Do not overbake.
Add nutmeg for classic donut flavor.
