Description
Delicate, lacy Pistachio Almond Florentines are buttery, nutty cookies perfect for tea time or holiday gifting.
Ingredients
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
2. Melt butter, sugar, and cream in saucepan until smooth and bubbling.
3. Add vanilla, salt, flour, almonds, and pistachios; mix well.
4. Spoon small mounds onto sheet, leaving room to spread.
5. Bake 8–10 minutes until golden and lacy. Cool before transferring.
Notes
Florentines spread a lot—keep spoonfuls small.
For added indulgence, dip half in melted dark chocolate.
