Description

Old-fashioned Amish pecan cream pie bars with a buttery crust, silky cream cheese layer, whipped cream, and pecans.


Ingredients

Scale

Crust:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup powdered sugar

3/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

Cream Cheese Layer:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

Whipped Cream Layer:

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tbsp powdered sugar

Topping:

1 cup chopped pecans


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 pan.

2. Mix flour and powdered sugar; cut in butter.

3. Press into pan and bake 15–18 minutes.

4. Cool completely.

5. Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla.

6. Spread over crust.

7. Whip cream with powdered sugar and spread on top.

8. Sprinkle with pecans.

9. Chill at least 4 hours before slicing.

Notes

Chill well before cutting.

Use cold butter for best crust texture.

Wipe knife clean between slices.
