Description
These Marble Chocolate Chips Cookies are soft, chewy, and bakery-style cookies made with vanilla and chocolate dough swirled together and loaded with chocolate chips. Perfect for dessert, cookie boxes, or coffee time treats.
Ingredients
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
1 tbsp (8g) cornstarch
1 tsp (4g) baking powder
1/2 tsp (3g) baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp milk
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper
2. In a bowl whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
3. In another bowl cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy
4. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth
5. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms
6. Fold in chocolate chips
7. Divide dough and mix cocoa powder and milk into one portion to create chocolate dough
8. Take small pieces of vanilla and chocolate dough and gently swirl together
9. Roll into balls and place on baking tray
10. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers soft
11. Let cookies cool on tray before serving
Notes
Do not overmix the marble dough or the swirl will disappear
Chill dough 20 minutes if cookies spread too much
Slightly underbake for soft chewy cookies
Add extra chocolate chips on top before baking for bakery-style cookies
Cookies can be frozen for up to 2 months
