Description
Soft baked donut bread topped with a sweet vanilla glaze, no frying required.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter melted
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Mix dry ingredients
3. Mix wet ingredients
4. Combine mixtures
5. Pour into loaf pan
6. Bake 45-55 minutes
7. Cool slightly
8. Prepare glaze
9. Pour glaze over loaf
Notes
Add nutmeg for donut flavor
Do not overmix batter
Glaze while warm
Store covered for freshness
