Description

A soft, fragrant fig and orange cake packed with juicy figs, zesty orange flavor, and warm cinnamon. Easy, elegant, and perfect for brunch or dessert.


Ingredients

4 ripe figs, chopped
180g all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
115g unsalted butter
150g sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Zest of 1 orange
60ml orange juice
60ml milk


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line pan.

  • Mix flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  • Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and orange zest.

  • Alternate mixing in dry ingredients with orange juice and milk.

  • Fold in figs. Pour into pan.

  • Bake 35–45 mins. Cool before slicing.

Notes

Use ripe figs for best texture. Add fig slices or nuts on top before baking for extra flair.
