Description

A tender buttery tea loaf filled with chocolate chips and sweet mixed dried fruit.


Ingredients

Scale

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup light brown sugar

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

34 tablespoons milk

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

3/4 cup mixed dried fruit


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare loaf pan.

2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy.

4. Add eggs and vanilla.

5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk.

6. Fold in chocolate chips and fruit.

7. Bake 50–60 minutes until done.

Notes

Toss fruit in flour to prevent sinking.

Do not overmix.

Cool fully before slicing.
