Description

Southern-inspired Butter Pecan Praline Poke Cake with buttery cake, cream frosting, and praline topping.


Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix

Ingredients required by box mix

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup caramel sauce

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 cup powdered sugar

23 tablespoons milk

1 cup chopped toasted pecans

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Pinch of salt


Instructions

1. Prepare and bake cake according to instructions.

2. Poke cake with wooden spoon and pour sweetened condensed milk mixture.

3. Prepare butter pecan frosting and spread over cake.

4. Prepare praline topping and sprinkle over frosted cake.

5. Chill for 30 minutes, slice, and serve.
