Description
Rich and creamy Black Forest cheesecake made with a chocolate crust, cherry filling, and silky chocolate ganache. Perfect for Valentine’s Day and special celebrations.
Ingredients
Chocolate Crust:
2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Cheesecake Filling:
24 oz cream cheese, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Cherry Layer:
1½ cups cherry pie filling
Chocolate Ganache:
½ cup heavy cream
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. Mix crust ingredients and bake 10 minutes.
3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
4. Add eggs, sour cream, vanilla, chocolate, and cocoa.
5. Layer filling and cherries over crust.
6. Bake 55–65 minutes until set.
7. Chill completely.
8. Prepare ganache and spread on top.
9. Garnish and serve.
Notes
Best chilled overnight.
Do not overmix after adding eggs.
Use room temperature ingredients.
