Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt

 

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently.
  • Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  • Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

 

  • Let the loaf cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of cinnamon or ½ cup of chocolate chips.
  • Use overripe bananas for the best natural sweetness.
