Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup rolled oats

1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 cups peeled and chopped apples (about 4 medium apples)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13 pan.
2. Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
3. Press two-thirds of mixture into the bottom of the pan.
4. Spread chopped apples evenly over the crust.
5. Sprinkle remaining oat mixture on top.
6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
7. Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
Best served cooled so bars hold their shape.
Add nuts or caramel drizzle for variation.
Store in fridge for up to 5 days or freeze individually for 2 months.
