Description

This apple cinnamon oat breakfast cake is soft, cozy, and naturally sweetened with maple syrup. A wholesome baked oatmeal recipe perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup chopped apples

2 eggs

1/4 cup maple syrup or brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons melted butter


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8×8 baking dish.

2. In a bowl whisk eggs, maple syrup, milk, and melted butter.

3. Stir in rolled oats and cinnamon.

4. Fold in chopped apples.

5. Pour the mixture into the baking dish.

6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the center is set.

7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Use crisp apples like Honeycrisp or Fuji.

Add chopped walnuts for extra texture.

Drizzle maple syrup on top before serving.
