This Amish Pineapple Cream Cheese Dump Cake is an easy 5-ingredient dessert layered with crushed pineapple, sweetened cream cheese, and buttery yellow cake mix. Comforting, nostalgic, and perfect served warm or chilled.
Ingredients
1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, drained (optional)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Optional: 1/2 cup shredded coconut
Optional: 1/4 cup brown sugar
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Spread crushed pineapple (with juice) evenly in the bottom of the dish. Add pineapple chunks if using.
3. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over the pineapple layer.
4. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top. Do not stir.
5. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much of the surface as possible.
6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbling at the edges.
7. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Do not stir the layers.
Make sure the butter covers most of the cake mix to avoid dry spots.
Serve warm for a gooey texture or chilled for a creamier consistency.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
