Description

These Amazing Chocolate Chip Muffins are soft, moist, and filled with gooey chocolate chips in every bite. A bakery-style muffin recipe that comes together in under 30 minutes – perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

½ cup (100g) granulated sugar

¼ cup (50g) brown sugar

2 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

¾ cup (180ml) milk

½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil or melted butter

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup (170g) chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, oil (or melted butter), eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Do not overmix – the batter should be slightly lumpy.

5. Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.

6. Divide the batter evenly among muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full. Top with extra chocolate chips.

7. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

8. Let muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.

Notes

• For a richer flavor, use melted butter instead of oil.

• Add chopped nuts, peanut butter chips, or a sprinkle of sea salt for variation.

• To make dairy-free, use plant-based milk and vegan chocolate chips.

• Store muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerate for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.

• Reheat in the microwave for 15–20 seconds before serving for that freshly baked warmth.
