Description

Ingredients

Cake:

  • 1½ cups almond flour

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp cardamom

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup butter

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp almond extract

  • ½ cup whole milk

Topping:

  • ¼ cup slivered almonds

  • Powdered suga


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line and grease a 9-inch pan.

  • Whisk dry ingredients.

  • Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and extracts.

  • Mix in dry ingredients and milk alternately.

  • Spread batter, sprinkle almonds, bake 30–35 mins.

  • Cool completely, dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Use freshly ground cardamom if possible. Serve with berries or honey for extra flair.
