Ingredients

Scale

5 Weet‑Bix crushed

1½ cups plain flour

2 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp cocoa

¾ cup desiccated coconut

1 cup sugar

1 tbsp golden syrup

200g margarine

1 tsp vanilla essence

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a 20 cm tin.

2. Mix crushed Weet‑Bix, flour, baking powder, cocoa, coconut, sugar.

3. Melt margarine and golden syrup, then stir in vanilla.

4. Combine wet and dry ingredients and press into tin.

5. Bake for 20‑25 minutes until set, cool slightly.

6. Ice as desired, slice into pieces.

Notes

Crush Weet‑Bix to a mix of fine and coarse for best texture.

Press mixture firmly for clean slices.
